This Week's Stories:

Feature: The Fascinating History of Mt. Washington's Cog Railway
Building a mountain railway was no small task. Equipment and materials had to
be hauled by oxen for 25 miles to Bretton Woods, New Hampshire and then
another six miles through thick forest to the base of Mount Washington...

Garden: The Many Uses of Garlic
Most of us are only exposed to one type of garlic in supermarkets, so don't realize
how many varieties there really are, and the various benefits of garlic other than
just for cooking.

Recipe: Colby Hill's Granny Smith Apple & Apple Cider Braised Cabbage
This fall inspired accompaniment is great with Grilled or Roasted Pork!
Use local apples for the best flavor. Tart apples, like granny smiths are better to
use as they compliment the sweet flavor of the cabbage and reduced apple cider.
