Writer Susan Cava is a Mahattanite who just can’t afford a summer share in
the Hamptons...but she has an idea for those urbanites who need a fabulous
(but inexpensive) weekend away. Rent a car, pack an overnight bag and head
north to Manchester Village, Vermont, a little town that she believes is "...one
of New England's greatest overnight getaways." Click here for story, "From

This Week's Recipe:
Chicken Thighs with Green Olives & Shallots
This recipe came from a night when we had chicken thighs in the refrigerator
and wanted a quick dinner with a Mediterranean taste. I remembered a
chicken dish in southern France which had a wine sauce and green olives. We
had some large imported green olives so it was easy to come up with a
similar version. Read on...

June 9 & 10, 2007 ~ 10am to 4 pm daily
Admission is $4.00 for adults , $2.00 for seniors,
children under 12 are free
Windsor Fairgrounds (Rain or Shine!) Windsor,Maine
Join us for a look back into time as Windsor Fairgrounds comes alive with a
agricultural tradition, a farm and fiber festival. Along with 75 vendors
displaying their fiber related products and demonstrations throughout the
weekend, you’ll find yourself engaged in the farm & fiber community of
Maine. The Fiber Frolic offers sheep dog trials and demos, sheep shearing,
fleece show & sale, used equipment marketplace,llama fun show,judged fiber
goat show, 4-H demonstrations, educational workshops & lectures (on
spinning, felting, knitting, weaving, rug hooking, animal health and rearing),
a kid’s area and the Maine llama Drill Team. Don’t miss out on this Maine
