If you are heading to Maine in August for a seaside vacation, your trip to the
ocean can be combined with a fun-filled jaunt to a pick-your-own blueberry
field. So bring your sand buckets and head over to a blueberry PYO farm near
your hotel, campsite or cabin:

Androscoggin County

every day for sale at the berry shed.  Also have fresh garlic in August.  Pie
cherries are ready to pick in September and apples and pears.  Open 8 a.m. and
close at 6:30 p.m. 7 days a week when there is something in season, July 25
through around September 20.  This is the largest Highbush Blueberry farm in
Aroostook County.
