| ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Notes from my back porch... We drove through Bennington, Vermont last weekend on our way to upstate NY to visit family for the 4th of July. Bennington always seems to have creative displays on its main drag in the summer -- last year it was life-sized painted moose. This year it's huge palettes (in celebration of a state-wide palettes display). Writer Lorianne DiSabato writes about this whimsical art exhibit in this week's feature story Palette-ing Around Bennington, Vermont. And if you love books and you love to travel, here's a story that pairs these two obsessions together. Book author by Larry Portzline (who wrote Bookstore Tourism: The Book Addict's Guide to Planning & Promoting Bookstore Road Trips for Bibliophiles & Other Bookshop Junkies) writes for us this week about how to plan your own bookshop road trip to northern New England: On the Road with Bookstore Tourism.
