Every house is in this sense a hospital. A night and a forenoon is as much confinement to those wards as I can stand -- and then I must go outdoors." | ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Notes from the Heart... Greetings from The Heart of New England The former owner of our home must have had a remarkable passion for rhubarb because they were placed in conspicuous locations all over the yard, like prized ornamental flowers -- one even in the center of the lawn! (I've since moved it to the side of the garage). If you also have a lot of rhubarb and can't bear to make yet another pie, you'll find this week's recipe a refreshing way to use your bumper crop: Rhubarb Iced Tea ... I will be making it this week now that the weather is summer-like. You may also want to try our Rhubarb-Strawberry Coffee Cake recipe and Rhubarb Clafouti. * * * Giveaway If you haven't entered this month's give-away, do so today because the last day you can enter to win is this Wednesday, May 31...the prize is a $100 gift certificate toward a room at the Wildflower Inn in Vermont, PLUS a $30 half-gallon of the inn's own maple syrup.
